3 Karma based on the Timeline

The first karma yoga based on timeline is called sanchita and it refers to the karma we have performed in the past life. For example, if in your past life you lied and stole, in your current life you may be experiencing that accumulation of karma if you get fired from your job.

The second type is prarabdha which is karma that is responsible for the persons present condition. For example if last year you performed charity work out of the good of your heart, you may find yourself in positive situations such getting a raise in your job.

The third type is agami which is forthcoming karma. For example, if you have made some wrongs in the past but are trying to change your life by being more giving and nicer to people, the karma that you experience in the future can be changed by actions you take now.
