12-Day, 50-Hour Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training in Bali, Indonesia
This 12-day Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training Course in Bali guides you through anatomy, birth philosophy, Ayurveda, and ancient knowledge which can help mother and child to be healthy. The course will help you to guide women through the birthing process calmly and confidently. It also delves into post-partum depression and the methods of meditation that assist mothers to soothe their body and mind after birth. It is a wonderful opportunity for any yogi who wishes to help others and women in the world. We invite you to join us in Bali to discover this ancient wisdom and apply it to help mothers navigate one of life’s most significant changes.
At Bali Yoga School, we built an entire course around it because we saw how underserved this area really is. Teachers leave standard 200-hour training without ever having received training on how to adapt a pose for a woman in her 3rd trimester, or how to talk to a new mom who is emotionally unwell after childbirth. We were hoping to do something about that. This course is designed for yoga teachers, doulas, health care professionals and mothers themselves to be able to enter into this work realistically, not randomly.

What Will You Learn & Why Choose This Course?
What Will You Learn in This Course?
- Yoga Philosophy of Pregnancy: We examine pregnancy from the classical yogic perspective, and understand how the mind, body and spirit work together during this phase, and how this will impact teaching.
- Reproductive Anatomy and Physiology: A strong foundation of the physical changes a woman experiences so that every adjustment and pose you teach is based on knowledge, not assumption.
- Instead of a single sequence, you will learn different sets of postures that are appropriate for the prenatal and postnatal body, working on strength, flexibility and body awareness for each stage.
- Nutrition Through Pregnancy: How food affects the mother's health and her baby's growth and development, and suggestions for what to eat and what to avoid.
- Garbhopanishad: One of the more interesting aspects of this training, this ancient scripture gives an unusually detailed account of the spiritual and biological progress of a fetus and the lessons contained within it are still relevant today.
- Prenayama for Prenatal Support: Learn unique breathing techniques to release stress from the body, quieten the emotions and connect mother and baby during pregnancy.
- Pre and Postnatal Care Psychotherapy: Understand the significance of emotional and psychological health and healing during the period of pregnancy and postpartum healing, and what yoga teachers can do to be able to hold space compassionately.
- Practices for connecting to the unborn child, utilizing sound and stillness, with a conscious and sacred relationship for the mother prior to the birth of her child, Mantra, Meditation and Connection with the Unborn Child.
- Teaching Methodology: The actual process of arranging, organizing and modifying prenatal and post natal classes in a safe, clear and supportive way, and the process of being able to confidently communicate with a client who may be vulnerable or uncertain.
Why Choose This Pre & Postnatal Yoga TTC at Bali Yoga School?
- Rooted in Tradition and Modern Knowledge: This course doesn't pick a side between ancient yogic wisdom and modern medical knowledge. It combines them together so you can walk out of the door with a grounded and up-to-date perspective.
- Experienced Teachers: This means your yoga teachers here are both practising yoga teachers and medical practitioners, not manual readers! They take real life experiences to each session.
- Learning by Doing: This training is a lot about doing things with the students rather than just lectures. You depart with knowledge of how to teach this, having practiced teaching it with feedback in between to hone your skills.
- A Network, Not Just a Certificate: You will be working with other teachers, mothers (or healers) who also have the same aim. A lot of past students keep in touch with each other long after the course is over, creating a network of support after 12 days.
- Training and certification in Bali: Completed your training and are now certified in Bali, surrounded by rice paddies and the calm Bali is known for, an appropriate place to mark this milestone and contemplate on all you have learnt.

Why Choose Bali Yoga School for Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Training?
Discover a supportive, practical and deeply nurturing learning experience designed for teachers, mothers and wellness practitioners who wish to understand prenatal and postnatal yoga with confidence, compassion and real-world teaching skills.
A Setting That Amplifies the Learning: Bali is not just a beautiful place to be, it is one of the most spiritually enhancing places on Earth. Combined with the deeply cultural landscape of Ubud, the ancient temple sites and reverence for life and birth create a unique environment for this particular training. This is the kind of introspection and sensitivity needed in prenatal and postnatal yoga that the air here creates.
Tradition and Modern Knowledge: Our curriculum doesn't pick sides between ancient yogic wisdom and modern knowledge of women's health. It holds both. Teachers and mothers leave with a well-rounded view of the teacher which is rooted in tradition and has a practical modern application.
Genuine Compassionate Teachers: You will be guided by professional, experienced yoga teachers and trained practitioners that have brought their depth and compassion to every class they've offered. We do more than teach prenatal and postnatal yoga, it's a technical practice of no less importance, a state of compassion and attunement that is exemplified and shared by our faculty.
Experiential and Real World Learning: Theory matters, confidence matters too. This course is based on experiential learning, real-life scenarios, teaching practicums and case studies, not classroom concepts, and prepares you for working with actual pregnant and postpartum women.
A Community Rooted in Care: Bali Yoga School teachers, mothers, therapists and practitioners have one common goal To Support Life. One of the things that make this experience here so unique is that sense of community; that sense of warmth, sincerity and groundedness.
Internationally recognised Certification: On completing this course, you will receive a Certification recognised by the International Yoga Organisation (IYO) that is accepted in 195 countries all over the globe. You will be certified globally and be able to continue practicing antenatal and postnatal yoga in all parts of the world.

Bali Yoga School Dining
At Bali Yoga School, we believe in using food as part of the practice, not merely as a meal. We're particular about where food comes from, how the kitchen is run, and how food is served because what you eat is as important as what you are learning in class. Hygiene is not a quick check every now and then here, it's a way of working daily. Staff are trained to ensure everything is clean for all children all the time and there is a genuine commitment to this. We consider a neat house a bit of quiet discipline, just as yoga challenges us to be disciplined on our mat.
