Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah

Namaste to everyone I am yogi Himanshu founder of Himalayan yoga association and Bali Yoga School and today i am gonna teach you all about Shanti mantra so this mantra you can chant before the class and after the class it is beautiful mantra very powerful so first I want to show you how it should be chant

I’m gonna put two tunes of Shanti Mantra you can choose if you like any of them or if you have your own tune you can chant in that and therefore I’ll be talking little bit about the Mantra so let’s begin it I request you to sit comfortable and with full of gratitude join your both palms together front of the chest mouth closed breathe through the nostrils few breaths through the nostril expand your lungs breathe out through the nostrils you let your whole body relax calm down feel your whole body calming down

now be fully grateful to whatever you have fully grateful for choosing the path of liberation the path of yoga being fully grateful to your parents to this whole universe and above all that we are alive and nothing can be more than this we fully grateful feel this greatness let your mind feel this greatness allow your mind don’t be so hard so take a deep breath in Om……….. Om………….. Om…………….

 Now we chant the Shanti mantra

Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah

Sarve Santu Niraamayaah |

Sarve Bhadraanni Pashyantu

Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet |

Om……………………………..

Now I want all of you to chant with me one time together

Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah

Sarve Santu Niraamayaah |

Sarve Bhadraanni Pashyantu

Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet |

Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||

allow yourself to feel the shanti feel the vibration in your head inside the head now this was the first tune first rhythem which we use in India for fire ceremonies for performing yagna now I am also gonna chant another tune which is also quite popular in India for worshiping for fire ceremony for yagya so I again join my both palms together

Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah

Sarve Santu Niraamayaah |

Sarve Bhadraanni Pashyantu

Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet |

Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet |

Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet |

Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||

so this was the second tune if you like you can replay and you can learn you can use in your yoga classes mantra chanting is very strong practice and it quickly cleans the mind it quickly brings the mind attention to it’s very useful for beginners

because they always have difficulty to directly coming into breath observing the breath or any subtle object so mantra chanting is best and it cleanses the mind body and it trains the mind to stay with the positive energy imagine if you are chanting such positive words

so naturally great positivity will come inside your mind mine will immediately feel happy the inner soul inner consciousness the real you will immediately feel happy peaceful satisfied now the meaning of mantra is Om Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah it means may all be happy Sukhinah means happy so the whole line means may all be happy

Sarve Santu Niraamayaah may all be free from illnesses from mental diseases from physical diseases Sarve Bhadraanni Pashyantu – may all see what is auspicious Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet may no one suffer so when we chant the mantra when mind is peaceful clear Pashyantu – happens we see auspicious visions things

Maa Kashcid-Duhkha-Bhaag-Bhavet naturally for us this whole world becomes meaningful and we contribute in the world to make it suffer free then my all-time favorite lines Om Shantih Shantih Shantih

so that’s the complete meaning of this mantra I hope you get something to learn so here we close this session I wish you a wonderful day a wonderful time take care and always be in this divine journey in the path of yoga and we hope one day we see you in our Himalayan Yoga Community and I wish to wonderful day wonderful time Namaste thank you.
