Ubud, located in Bali, Indonesia, is a popular destination for yoga, meditation, and wellness experiences.

At Bali Yoga School, we offer a 2-day, 1-night Reiki Level 1 Healing Course in Ubud, introducing students to Reiki theory, self-healing practices, breathing techniques, meditation, and attunement.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

1. WHAT IS REIKI AND WHERE DID IT ORIGINATE?

Reiki is a Japanese practice associated with Mikao Usui, who developed his Reiki system in the early twentieth century.

The word Reiki is commonly interpreted within Reiki traditions through the Japanese concepts of rei and ki, often described in relation to universal and vital energy.

During a typical Reiki session, a practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above another person’s body.

Reiki is also associated with meditation, mindfulness, ethical principles, and personal development.

Although Reiki practitioners commonly describe the practice as promoting relaxation and well-being, scientific evidence has not established the existence of Reiki energy or demonstrated that Reiki treats specific medical conditions.

Reiki should be understood as a complementary wellness practice rather than a replacement for professional medical care.

For beginners, Level 1 training provides a foundation for understanding traditional Reiki concepts and practices.
