2. Himalayan Yoga Association

Despite its name suggesting Himalayan origins, the Himalayan Yoga Association has established a strong practice and spread the genuine message of traditional yoga in Bali. Their Bali center unites the knowledge of Himalayan yoga traditions and the power of the island.

The school’s major asset is its conservative method of teaching yoga. Their curriculum is mostly based on the eight limbs of yoga so that students are aware that yoga is not just the physical practice. Teachers of this association are usually trained in India, which makes them deliver truly yogic knowledge to the Balinese coast.

Their teacher training programs are special for the emphasis on shatkarma, pranayama, meditation, asana, yoga anatomy, yoga philosophy, proper alignment and adjustment – All the necessary parts of yogic learning. Students learn how to train their learners in different breathing exercises and meditation practices as part of the yoga practice. The school also focuses much on Sanskrit education and on the chanting of mantras so that the students will be able to understand the religion behind yoga.

It is a serene learning environment with all the mod cons while still retaining an ashram feel. Among them, there are specialized modules in Ayurveda, yoga therapy, sound and reiki healings which give students more instruments for their teaching practice.

Blooming Lotus

Blooming Lotus Yoga has rightfully earned its title of one of the most credible yoga teacher training centers in Bali as it offers a comprehensive approach to yoga education. Where Blooming Lotus sets itself apart from other professional development companies is that they focus on the individual growth of the employee as much as they do on the corporate growth of the business.
