A Holy Island, A Sacred Ritual

This pristine island is also widely known as the Island of Gods- rightly so. Both the spiritual and cultural traditions of this place qualify it as one of the most appropriate locations for a yoga instructor certification course. The daily traditions, presents, and places of worship of the Balinese community establish a tangible ambiance of respect and awareness. The Bali  Yoga School provides a 200 hour yoga teacher training in this holy environment, merging the deep knowledge of the Himalayas with the peaceful atmosphere of Bali.

Attending the Bali Yoga School: Experience thereof

What makes the Bali Yoga School different from other schools of yoga teacher training? It imparts its unique style of yoga learning, mostly founded on traditional knowledge of the age-old Himalayan yogis. The class is not just a class, but rather an act of traveling into the heart of yoga, whereby one is taken through the process of forming a gripping relationship with one’s inner wisdom and discovery of the real authenticity of the practice.

Bali Yoga School presents yoga not as an act of postures, but more so as a way of living. The 200-hour YTTC has been designed to take students beyond the mere physical practice into the realms of beliefs, morals, and spiritual rituals of yoga. This class creates the perfect opportunity for beginning a personal journey of self-discovery, self-control, and self-change, with the tools to be able to share this ancient wisdom with others.

Bali: Where Transformations Find Their Perfection

There is something so magical about Bali that it automatically changes your life. Maybe it’s the island’s energetic vibrancy, the great natural beauty, or the deep sense of spiritual depth in the air. Whatever it is, Bali touches the soul and opens the heart, making it the ideal setting for training to be a yoga teacher.

The 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training  at the Bali Yoga School takes place in the most serene and beautiful locations that Bali can offer. Imagine starting your day with yoga in an open-air shala, with all the sounds and sights of nature-the chirping of tropical birds, the soft rustling of leaves, and faraway sounds of a river in flow. It is here, in this tranquil environment, that one may truly reach into their self and the practice with minimal distractions from normal, daily life.

Of course, there is also the rich tapestry of culture that Bali offers and another unmatched dimension to training. Students are allowed to participate in local ceremonies, visit ancient temples, and are educated about Balinese traditions that further their knowledge of yoga as a way of life. The Nature splendour and spiritual heritage on this island create an experience that stays in memory well beyond the dates of training.

Course Overview: Your Learnings with us

Yoga Anatomy & Physiology

In-depth study of the anatomy of postures, movements, and key systems of the body. Learn to know how the parts of the body function and how to apply such knowledge safely and effectively in practice and teaching.

Mastering The Asanas (Postures)

The course covers deep practice of asanas, which are Postures-Ashtanga/ Hatha/ Vinyasa Flow along with the associated theory. Alignment-Adjustment-Teaching methodology will also be given in a separate class to the student. Because these also form a part of the training, ample time is provided to students to interact with their teacher and find answers to their queries.

Yoga Philosophy

The Sanskrit name for the philosophy of yoga is yoga darshan, which means to take students through the philosophy of life by using ancient yoga texts in order to reach the goal of yoga. In this regard, the 200 Hour Course at Bali Yoga School imparts teaching of the mystic sage Patanjali’s ‘Patanjali yoga sutras’, teaching students how to learn to live an appropriate life.

Meditation & Mantra Chanting

Mantras – The vibration of the sound permeates every cell of your being and allows your mind to dissolve and repose. That which gives you deep rest, is meditation. In meditation, one sits and allows the mind simply to dissolve. The rest, which comes in meditation, is much deeper than the deepest sleep that you can ever have. When the mind is free from agitation, is calm and serene and at peace, that is when meditation happens.

Pranayama

The “prana” builds an aura around the body. It moves in thousands of ‘nadis’—the subtle energy channels and energy centers called ‘chakras’. The level and quality of prana and its flow through the nadis and chakras determine one’s state of mind. If the prana level is high and its flow is smooth, steady, and continuous, then the mind remains calm, positive, and enthusiastic.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda, in fact, signifies the science of living a long life, as defined by the very measure of life that prescribes the proper and improper, the happy and sorrowful conditions of life and such usages as are conducive to longevity.

One rewarding feeling at the Bali Yoga School is the sense of community working its way among the students in the 200-hour YTTC. Individuals from all walks of life coming together for this training have a unique story or reason behind them. Bonding during these sessions usually goes through to lifelong friendship while they all are training and learning.
