Kapalbhati is a breathing technique that helps eliminate unwanted substances from the body. Kapalbhati comes from combining the Sanskrit words Kapal, meaning forehead, and Bhati, meaning illumination effect. In ancient yoga rituals, Kapalbhati is one of the most essential techniques for cleansing.

Steps To Perform It


Step 1: Initiate the pranayama in a seated position at a comfortable pace. Ensure that your spine is straight.
Step 2: Put your hands on your knees. Take a deep breath
Step 3: While breathing out, try to pull your stomach outwards. Now pull your naval towards inside as much as you can comfortably. You will notice your abdominal muscles move towards your stomach.
Step 4: Now relax your body. You will notice your breath flowing naturally into your lungs.
Step 5: Repeat the procedure around 20 times.
