Yogi Himanshu - The Founder of Bali Yoga School
Born with a courageous spirit and an unwavering dedication to truth, Yogi Himanshu has lived a life that seamlessly blends strength, compassion, and service. A native of India, he began his journey early as a multi-talented athlete, representing his state and nation in various sports disciplines. His physical strength, sharp focus, and fearless determination led to him being headhunted by the Indian Army during his college years — a recognition of his exceptional physical and mental stamina.
However, life had a deeper purpose in store for him. During his time in rigorous military-style training, Himanshu suffered an internal injury—one that no medical treatment could cure. What seemed like a physical setback eventually became the gateway to a profound spiritual awakening. Turning to meditation as his last hope, he devoted himself fully to the practice for over a year. Through unwavering discipline and inner exploration, he not only healed his body but also awakened a new dimension of life rooted in silence, awareness, and self-realization.
From a young age, honesty and a deep sense of justice have been the foundation of Himanshu’s character. Whether in sport, leadership, or spiritual practice, he has always stood for what is true and right. These values continue to reflect in his teachings and everyday life, earning him deep respect among his students and peers.
Today, Yogi Himanshu is known not only for his personal transformation but also for the impact he creates in the lives of others. He believes in conscious living and strives to bring positive change to the world around him. A firm believer in karma yoga (selfless service), he has dedicated himself to creating meaningful opportunities—be it through generating employment for people, supporting animal welfare, caring for plants and the environment, or simply uplifting those in need.
His love for travel, running, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are natural extensions of his yogic path. Yogi Himanshu embodies the spirit of balance—between strength and softness, effort and surrender.
Today, he continues to inspire countless people through his existence and grounded leadership. For Yogi Himanshu, yoga is not a profession—it is a way of life. And through that life, he serves as a living example of how challenges can become catalysts, and how truth, when lived with sincerity, becomes the most powerful form of healing.

In a mind that is often dominated by unending chatter and thoughts, Yogi Himanshu discovered his inner voice and chose the way of life that suited him. Apart from being the expert of his subject matter and Masters in Indian & Western Philosophy, his real learning came from observing life as it unfolded before him, the practical aspects of it, rather than just the theory.

A SIMPLE MAN, A PEOPLE’S PERSON
He is a people’s person and loves being of any use to them even outside his field of yoga in whatever way possible. He cherishes his own company all the same and enjoys being in silence and observing the world. Living a simple life, accepting things as they are, and appreciating the beauty of the present moment has made him closer to his inner being, away from the thought chatter.
YOGI HIMANSHU’S LIFE PHILOSOPHY
This young Yogi is not deterred by fears that block the progress of the human soul and advises people to do the same. His advice to people: “Live your dreams because life is short but remember that life is not perfect but by accepting it as it is, you make your living perfect. Yoga helps to put things in perspective and makes you choose joy over worldly things that are making you miserable. It makes you understand your power, strengths and capabilities as it brings you closer to yourself.”
